Come to celebrate a successful plein air season at East Goshen Park!
Saturday, October 12 2:00 – 6:00 pm
Rain date Sunday October 13
Setup for artists begins at 1:00 pm
Our Plein Air Exhibition coincides with the Annual East Goshen Township Food Truck and Music Festival. We will hold our show in the covered pavilion just below the stage area at East Goshen Park.
All PPS members, friends and family (including dogs) are invited to come! There will be a variety of foods, wine and beer for purchase, and several different bands will be playing from 2:00 – 6 pm. It’s a very fun afternoon!
All who participated in any of our Plein Air outings are invited to show your PPS plein air work at this festival. Because we were rained out so many times last spring, our rules are somewhat relaxed this year.
You must have started the painting at one of our events, but you can have finished it at home. If you were unable to come to one of our meet-ups because of rain, you may use a plein air painting from last year. Your work may be matted or framed, as you wish.
We will have People’s Choice awards again. We invite everyone who comes through the pavilion to vote for their favorite painting. The nice thing is, this invites viewers to really look at the art and often ask questions about the process.
This year we’ll also have some artists at work too. If you’d be willing to take a turn painting for a bit, please let us know.
The festival attracts many, many people who come to hear the bands, to sample the food and beverages from the various food trucks, and to buy some art as well. Be prepared to handle any sales of your artwork, since there will be lots of people attending this event. It’s a fun afternoon.
We’ll have places to hang your paintings. We ask that participating artists come around 1:00 to help set up. (And we usually end around 4:30 or 5.)
Please contact Kathy Apfelbaum if you plan on exhibiting, and let her know how many paintings you will be bringing. She will need this information to plan for the necessary number of racks.
