Members Enjoy Demonstration and Workshop with Acclaimed Pastel Artist Corey Pitkin

Members of the Pastel Society enjoyed two inspiring October events featuring Corey Pitkin, PSA, IAPS/EP. On October 20, Corey presented a portrait demonstration at the Community Arts Center, sharing insights into his artistic process and showcasing samples of his award-winning work.

The demonstration was followed by a two-day workshop, "Painting the Portrait & Figure," where participants explored techniques for capturing likeness, form, and expression in pastel. Attendees benefited from Corey's expert instruction, gaining valuable skills and fresh inspiration for their own artistic journeys.

This memorable educational experience provided artists with the opportunity to learn from one of the nation's leading pastel painters while connecting with fellow members.
