PPS Member Stephanie Jean Brown, PSA, PPS, MPS
Join us around 9:45 am for coffee, snacks, and greeting friends before the start of our Annual Members Meeting on Saturday, November 9th in the Duke Gallery at Community Arts Center in Wallingford. Give yourself enough time to view "Visions in Pastel", our national open juried exhibition that is currently on display in the Duke Gallery.
After a brief overview of PPS's accomplishments for 2024 and an update of coming events, we will welcome award-winning pastelist and PPS member Stephanie Brown. She will demonstrate her technique in painting the landscape.
Stephanie Brown grew up in California, but relocated to Pennsylvania in 2021. Originally a watercolor painter who focused on florals and still lifes, she has recently found a more natural home for herself in soft pastel. She loves its versatility and immediacy, and enjoys exploring its many possibilities as a painting medium. The change of medium coincided with her move to Pennsylvania, which ignited a love for the landscape and a newfound enjoyment of painting plein air.
In September of 2023, Stephanie enrolled in Studio Incamminati's Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts program. She has achieved Signature status with the Pastel Society of America, the Philadelphia Pastel Society, and the Maryland Pastel Society. She is an Associate member of the American Impressionist Society.
