Silent Auction of Four Paintings
from the Spring Meeting's Paint Around Event
The paintings will be on display with bid sheets on a table at the back of the meeting hall. The paintings are each 18” x 12” and are unframed.
The opening bids will be $100, with competing bids at increments of $25. At 12:30 PM, the auction will close, and the winning bidders will be announced at the end of Bill Sweeney's demo. Payment will be made at the end of the meeting.
Cash, checks or Venmo will be accepted.

At our last PPS Members meeting in April, we held a Paint Around event in which the following four PPS Signature Member artists participated: Kathy Apfelbaum, Rebecca Denneny, Donna Streisfeld, and Anne Whalon. Each artist started out with their own landscape reference photo and pastel paper and painted for 15 minutes. When the bell rang, the paintings were shifted down to the next artist, whereby they all worked on their neighbor’s painting for the next 15 min. This timed rotation continued until all four paintings were worked on by all of the artists. With the last rotation, the paintings ended up with the original artist, who then had 15 more minutes to complete the painting.
It was fun and exciting to watch as the paintings were transformed. And now, our artists have generously donated their artworks to the Philadelphia Pastel Society to help raise money for our PPS exhibition awards.
