Our Annual Members Meeting is on Saturday, November 11, at 10 o’clock at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford. This marks the fourth anniversary of the first members meeting of the Philadelphia Pastel Society.  An artist demo will be presented by our own PPS member, Teresa DeSeve.

Teresa DeSeve is a nationally recognized pastel painter who resides in Collegeville, PA.  She is a Signature and Master Pastelist with the Pastel Society of America, a Signature  member and Crest Medal winner of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, and  Signature member of the Philadelphia Pastel Society.

Teresa’s work has been featured in the Pastel Journal Magazine three times, where she has also won awards in the Pastel 100 Competitions.  Her subjects have been focused on our humanness.

“I love to paint people.  It’s that simple.  Every person is unique and unrepeatable.  I love to find, as best I can, the spirit revealing and animating that person.”

Teresa has been a beloved instructor of soft pastel painting for fifteen years, and is currently working as a full time painter.
