Plein Air Cherry Blossoms Painting

Shofuso is a beautiful Japanese garden and house located in the western part of Fairmont Park. The cherry blossoms only bloom for a week or two in early April and create a spectacular sight. We will try to capture them this year. Shofuso opens at 11:00 am so we will meet in their parking lot just before 11. You must go to their website (japanphilly.org) before hand to buy timed tickets. (Seniors, $9, regular $11). Get your tickets as soon as possible as there are only a limited number available. Once in the garden, you can stay as long as you like until it closes at 5. Tickets are nonrefundable: in the event of rain, we’ll go anyway and take pictures.
